About the Artist

Realistic detail, heightened by the artist’s rich colors, characterize Sharon Hagar’s vibrant paintings of the Rocky Mountains. Specializing in the depiction of the graceful and elegant aspen trees, she brings them to life on the canvas. Sharon started excelling in art at the age of nine when she won her first art contest. She later earned degrees in art and education at Abilene Christian University.

As she taught in both public and private schools, she utilized her talent and skill in the realm of art in the classroom. After Sharon stopped teaching, she focused her efforts and talent toward the panorama of the Rocky Mountains, especially the beauty of the aspen trees.

Sharon’s paintings radiate the subtle variations created by both lighting and seasons. She also paints bluebonnets and windmill scenes from her native west Texas, and the hill country.

Sharon’s paintings hang in every state as well as in Canada, England, Germany, and Brazil. Her work is displayed in both public and private collections, and has been featured in numerous exhibitions and exclusive art shows.

Her biography has been published in “American Artists of Renown,” a book of reference for libraries and galleries throughout the United States.
